Chris Markey

Chris Markey has been working in finance for the past four years and two months. In their current position as finance manager at Dialectic Engineering, they is responsible for financial analysis and reporting, client profit and loss analysis, month-end close including bank reconciliations, management of client account receivables, approval and processing of vendor payments, preparation of external reporting documents, general ledger account reconciliations, identification of process improvements with an emphasis on streamlining and scaling, monthly journal entries, maintenance of daily cash flow projections, daily transaction record details and reporting, and management of yearly external audit and tax preparation.

Prior to their work in finance, Chris Markey worked as an assistant varsity soccer coach at Pembroke Hill School for seven years and eleven months. In this role, they were responsible for managing tryouts and team placements for each player, teaching age-specific soccer skills, developing practice and game plans, and reinforcing positive attitudes and good sportsmanship.

Chris Markey began their career as an accountant at MMGY Global. In this role, they produced monthly profitability reports for the executive team, tracked and produced monthly financial reports and analysis, was responsible for general ledger analysis and reconciliation, prepared and executed monthly journal entries, analyzed and prepared monthly financial client and discipline reporting, facilitated Accounts Receivable collection for delinquent accounts, updated and tracked client and employee utilization report, maintained inter-company financials across all offices, and assisted with legal and financial requests for new business pitches.

Chris Markey attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Economics. While at UMKC, Chris was a member of the Men's Soccer Team and served on the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee.
