Andrew Backhouse

Andrew Backhouse is the current Operations & Finance Director at Dialectyx. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer and Company Secretary at Oxford Analytica from September 1996 to August 2013. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of non-research activities at the IFS - Finance, Events, Press Communications, HR, Contracting and IT. From August 2013 to September 2015, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. In this role, they were once again responsible for all aspects of non-research activities at the IFS. Prior to their work at the Institute for Fiscal Studies, Backhouse served as the Finance Director at Softa Group from September 1986 to September 1996. Andrew began their career as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. from June 1981 to December 1986.

Andrew Backhouse has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Aston. Andrew also has a certification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as a Chartered Accountant.

Their manager is Stephen Arnold, Managing Director. They are on a team with Jack Waller - Marketing & Operations Manager, Peter Mcinerney - Commercial Legal Counsel, and Rajiv Nadkarni - Technical Director And Software Development Partner.
