Asanga Munaweera is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and sustainability, currently serving as the Group Chief of Risk & Compliance and Head of Sustainability at Dialog Axiata PLC since February 2021. Munaweera has successfully integrated sustainability with enterprise risk management and cybersecurity governance, significantly enhancing organizational performance. Previously, Munaweera held the position of Director/CEO at Dialog Finance PLC and spent over 16 years in various roles within Dialog Axiata PLC, including Vice President of Mobile Telecommunications and Senior Manager of Corporate Planning. Munaweera holds an MBA from The Australian National University along with multiple professional certifications in project management, financial management, and data privacy.
