Thisara Kasthuriarachchi has a strong background in the telecommunications industry. Thisara started their career as an Engineering Trainee at Suntel Ltd in 2004. Thisara then joined Dialog Axiata PLC in 2006, where they held various roles over the years, including Coordinator and Senior Executive in Corporate Planning, Specialist in Technology Strategy and Cost Modelling, Assistant Manager in Group Corporate Planning & Performance Management, Manager in Group Corporate Planning and Operational Strategy, Senior Manager in Group Corporate Planning & Operational Strategy, Head of Prepaid Mobile Business, General Manager in Mobile Broadband & Prepaid Mobile Business, and Senior General Manager leading the Mobile Telecommunications Business. Since 2020, they have been serving as the Vice President and Head of Business Growth & Operations at Dialog Axiata PLC.

Thisara Kasthuriarachchi completed an MBA degree from the PIM - Postgraduate Institute of Management from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2006, they obtained a B.Sc. Eng degree in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering. In the same timeframe, they also pursued a degree in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, which they completed from 2002 to 2005.
