Eleanor Howe is the Founder and CEO of Diamond Age Data Science, a consultancy that assists biotech companies in leveraging data for research challenges since August 2016. Previously, Eleanor served on the Board of Directors and was the Treasurer and Chair of the Governance Committee for WEST - Women in the Enterprise of Science and Technology from January 2020 to July 2024. Eleanor's prior experience includes roles as a Computational Biologist and Data Scientist at The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where contributions to therapeutics development and genetic research on MKD kidney disease occurred, as well as a Bioinformatician and Project Lead at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, leading the development of the MultiExperiment Viewer software. Earlier, Eleanor worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst at The Institute for Genomic Research, facilitating the use of microarray technology. Eleanor holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Oxford, an MS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.
