Director Of Risk Management at Diamond Credit Union

Eric Black has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric is currently the Director of Risk Management at Diamond Credit Union, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Nymeo Federal Credit Union, where they held various roles over a span of 11 years. These roles include Director of Compliance and Risk, Call Center and Operations Manager, Call Center Manager, Training and Branch Administrator, Training Administrator, Electronic Services Representative, Vault Teller/Member Service Representative, and Part-Time Teller. Before their career in the credit union industry, Eric Black worked as a freelance classical singer and also served as the Company Manager at the Maryland Opera Studio.

Eric Black has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Eric also holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland. In addition to their academic education, Eric has obtained certifications including the Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager from the Compliance Education Institute, LLC. Eric is also certified as a Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), and Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) from the Credit Union National Association.
