Andrew Dent

Deputy Director Physical Science at DIAMOND LIGHT SOURCE LIMITED

Andrew Dent started their work experience at Daresbury Laboratory in 1989, where they served as a Group Leader until September 2002. After that, they joined Diamond Light Source in October 2002, initially as an Experimental Coordinator. In April 2018, they were promoted to the role of Deputy Director Physical Science at Diamond Light Source, where they are currently working.

Andrew Dent completed their education at the University of Bristol. From 1979 to 1981, they attended Hutton Grammar School, where they studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Andrew then went on to the University of Bristol, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Physics from 1981 to 1984. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, graduating between 1984 and 1987.
