Lee Coles

Lee Coles is an experienced Information Technology professional with a career spanning over three decades, currently serving as the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager at Diamond Light Source since March 2019. In this role, Lee leads the delivery of IT projects related to backup and recovery services, infrastructure development, and IT security, while also designing and implementing Windows Server systems. Prior to this, Lee held various positions at Diamond Light Source Limited including Server and Backup Manager and Helpdesk Support Analyst, managing critical business data across multiple servers and providing desktop support to a large user base. Earlier experience at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory involved both helpdesk support and PC hardware engineering roles. Lee holds a BTEC National in Information Technology from Oxpens College and has obtained multiple GCSEs, including English and Maths at St. Birinus Secondary School.
