Doreen Koome

Doreen Koome is a skilled cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in cloud security, vulnerability assessment, and customer engagement. Currently serving as Cloud Security Lead and IT SOC Analyst at Diamond Trust Bank since April 2022, Doreen focuses on active monitoring, vulnerability investigation, and data protection compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act. Doreen's expertise extends to roles such as Cybersecurity Researcher at HackerOne, where bug discovery and technical reporting were key responsibilities, and engagement as a Global Ambassador for WomenTech Network, promoting diversity in tech. Doreen has also contributed as a Penetration Tester at Virtually Testing Foundation and a Remote Cyber Security Intern at Mossé Security, further honing technical skills through continuous learning platforms. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Kenya Methodist University, Doreen combines practical experience across various IT and security roles to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
