Matthew Garza

Director, Dstigmatize Program at The diaTribe Foundation

Matthew Garza possesses extensive experience in health education and program management, currently serving as Director of the dStigmatize Program at The diaTribe Foundation since May 2020. In this role, Matthew has advanced through various positions, including Senior Program Manager and Program Manager, while also contributing as Managing Editor for diaTribe Learn, overseeing the publication of hundreds of articles focused on diabetes and prediabetes that reach millions of readers. Prior experience includes serving as Facilities Manager at Johns Hopkins O'Conner Recreation Center, where Matthew supervised a large staff and managed facility operations. Additionally, Matthew gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Medicine, focusing on regenerative medicine and related fields. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and furthered education at Harvard Medical School.
