Andrew Owen

Andrew Owen has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Andrew has held various technical and managerial roles in different organizations. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering UK at Diaverum, where they provide technical expertise and manages a team of field service engineers. Before this, they worked at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust as the Head of Medical Devices and Ancillary/AVP Services, overseeing 239 employees and maintenance management of over 12,000 medical devices. Andrew also worked at Asahi KASEI Medical Europe GmbH as the Technical Services Manager UK, responsible for technical support activities and developing an in-house support team. Prior to that, they were a Technical Product Manager at B. Braun Group, managing technical-related product tasks and directing field service activities. Earlier in their career, they worked at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Renal Technical Manager and at Fresenius Medical Care as a Field Service Engineer. Andrew started their career as a Renal Technologist and then as a Medical Technical Officer at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where they gained experience in maintenance and repair of various medical equipment.

Andrew Owen's education history includes several qualifications in various fields. Andrew began their educational journey in 1996, earning an NVQ II in Manufacturing Engineering from Bradford College. From 1997 to 2000, they pursued a City and Guilds degree in Engineering Systems with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, also at Bradford College. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they obtained a BTEC National degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, still at Bradford College. In 2002, Andrew went on to earn an HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Electronic Engineering from Bradford College, completing their studies in 2004. Finally, they pursued a Master's Degree in Management, specializing in MSc Management, at the University of Bradford from 2008 to 2011.
