David Monteith

Senior Director of Clinical Science at DICE Therapeutics

David Monteith has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, beginning in 1990 as a Principal Research Scientist at Parke Davis. From 1995 to 1998, they served as the Assistant Director of Toxicology at Ionis Pharmaceuticals. In 1999, they became the Director of Toxicology and Pharmacokinetics at Charles River/Sierra Biomedical, where they directed the development of toxicology and pharmacokinetic studies and consulted with biotech companies on drug development. In 2000, they joined Eli Lilly and Company as an Asset Manager/Research Advisor, leading program teams in various therapeutic areas. David then assumed the role of Principal Research Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company from 2000 to 2005. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as the Senior Director of Clinical Science at Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. David then moved on to Omeros Corporation, where they served as the Senior Director of Product Development from 2017 to 2021. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at Clovis Oncology as the Director of Clinical Sciences. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Clinical Science at DICE Therapeutics, starting in 2023.

David Monteith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from the University of Washington, where they attended from 1977 to 1981. Following this, they pursued further education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) and PhD in Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology. David Monteith also holds a certification as a Diplomate from the American Board of Toxicology, obtained at an undisclosed time.
