Gregory Steirer is an Associate Professor of English and Film Studies at Dickinson College, where since July 2013, research focuses on media industries, intellectual property law, consumption, and digital technology, alongside teaching film, media, and technology courses. Prior experience includes serving as a researcher for the Connected Viewing Initiative at the Media Industries Project, University of California Santa Barbara, collaborating with Warner Bros. on digital technology and distribution research. Steirer held the role of English-language editor at the American Studies Institute, Seoul National University, and taught various undergraduate courses at the University of Pennsylvania while also directing the Visual Arts & Culture Residential Program. Early career experiences include administrative roles at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and ownership of Centerfield Cards & Comics. Steirer earned a Ph.D. in Media Studies, Cinema, and English from the University of Pennsylvania, following a Bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy from the same institution.
