Michael C. Wierwille

Chair at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services

Michael Wierwille is an expert in the valuation of corporations’ equity and assets on matters of mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, dissolution, litigation, personal portfolio, reorganization and financial and income tax reporting. Over the past 40 years, Wierwille has held a number of positions with some of the biggest financial services companies in the world. He was a Managing Director of Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting, a Managing Director of Duff & Phelps LLC and a non-CPA equity partner in the Financial Advisory Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Wierwille also has more than 20 years of experience serving the mental health needs of people in communities where poverty or stigma limits access. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Family Service of Los Angeles when the agency merged with Didi Hirsch in 1997 and has served on Didi Hirsch’s Board ever since, including as Board Chair from 2002 to 2004 and again from 2012 to 2014.

Wierwille received his MBA from Pepperdine University and holds a BBA degree from the University of Cincinnati. An accredited senior appraiser and licensed real estate broker, Wierwille has served as an expert witness on valuation matters for several entities, including United States’ Bankruptcy and District and Tax Courts; the State Courts of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Ohio; and the International Chamber of Commerce and the International Court of Arbitration.

He lives in Encino with his wife Lisa. They have two children.
