Mikko Huotari

Mikko Huotari is currently the Executive Director at Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) gGmbH. Mikko also holds positions as Deputy Director and Head of Program "Geoeconomics and International Security" at the same company. In addition, Mikko serves as a Senior Advisor at the European Policy Centre, a Member of the Academic Board at the Academy of International Affairs NRW, and a Mitglied des Strategischen Beirats at DIE FAMILIENUNTERNEHMER. Previously, Mikko was a Visiting Scholar at UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy. Mikko Huotari holds a Magister degree in Political Science, International and European Law, and Musicology from The University of Freiburg, as well as a Diploma in Piano from Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
