Jim Shipley has extensive experience in information technology and systems, as well as business management. Jim served as the Chief Information Officer at Dierbergs Markets from 2011, where they were responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology, systems, and infrastructure. Prior to that, they worked at Save-A-Lot from 2005 to 2011, initially as the Sr. Director of Information Technology and later as the Director of Product Services. In these roles, they were responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing information system solutions and technologies to support business growth. Jim also held the position of Director of Information Systems at Save-A-Lot from 2000 to 2004. Earlier in their career, Jim worked as the Manager of Special Projects at Save-A-Lot from 1996 to 1999 and as the Assistant Controller from 1992 to 1995. Throughout their career, Jim has consistently demonstrated their ability to improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and foster productive relationships with vendors.
Jim Shipley attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1981 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Dierbergs Markets is a privately owned, family-run business in its 4th generation of leadership. Originating in 1854 with its first location on Olive Street Road, it has grown to 25 stores primarily in the St. Louis region, with two stores in Illinois, and one in the Ozarks. In addition, there are 3 plant facilities; a Central Bakery, Central Kitchen, and Central Floral Design facility which supports the store operations. Dierbergs currently has over 4,000 Associates company-wide who share in our 166-year history and uphold our reputation built on hard work, personal service and a commitment to meeting the growing needs of our area through Community service.
