Lori Baker

Lori Baker has a diverse range of work experience in the legal and compliance field. Lori most recently served as the Vice President of Data Protection & Regulatory Compliance at DIFC. Prior to that, they worked as a Regulatory Compliance / Data Protection Lawyer, Writer, and Speaker, where they specialized in complex legal and regulatory subjects globally.

Lori also held the role of Group Legal and Compliance Counsel at MOBY GROUP, where they designed and implemented compliance programs throughout multiple regions. Additionally, they worked as an In House Lawyer at Careem, reviewing contracts and advising on compliance and regulatory policies.

Lori has also worked at Fieldfisher as a Senior Associate, specializing in technology, outsourcing, and privacy. Lori was a Senior Compliance & Privacy Attorney at Dun and Bradstreet and served as International Compliance Counsel and Head of Ethics at Orange Business Services. Lori gained experience in global regulatory and data privacy as a compliance officer and project manager at BT Global Services.

Earlier in their career, Lori worked as an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Brookdale Community College and as an Associate at Seeger Weiss LLP.

Additionally, Lori has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Lori is also a Fellow of Information Privacy from the same institution. Moreover, Lori holds a CCEP-I certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, and an ISEB/BCS Certificate in Data Protection from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
