Mahdiah El-Jed serves as the ESG and Sustainability Lead at DIFC since May 2023, with previous roles including Sustainability and Impact Senior Manager and Sustainability Manager at ACWA Power from August 2020 to July 2023. Prior experience includes Senior ESG and Sustainability Advisor at Sustainability Excellence and Senior Sustainability and Climate Change Project Officer at Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE), where strategic execution of high-impact programs was emphasized. Earlier roles encompassed Research Project Manager at the Centre de recherche sur les innovations sociales and teaching assistance at Université de Montréal, focusing on social innovation and sustainable food systems. Mahdiah El-Jed holds a Certified Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, a Doctoral Seminar at Aalborg University, a Master of Science in Environmental Science from UQAM, and a Bidisciplinary Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Université de Montréal.
