About Our Practice.
In 1972, Dr. F. Dennis Waldron founded the first gastroenterology practice in Tacoma, Washington. Over the years, Dr. Waldron continued to grow his practice through the recruitment of additional gastroenterologists. The practice has evolved in its nearly 40 years of service. Partnerships with other gastroenterology groups, continuous physician recruitment efforts, and construction and expansion of practice sites has made Digestive Health Specialists the pinnacle of digestive health care in the Puget Sound. 
Our goal is to provide patients with the best comprehensive care for all their digestive health needs. Patients at Digestive Health Specialists receive highly competent care and service from an amazing medical, nursing and administrative staff. Our staff includes board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and certified physician assistants, along with nurses and administrative employees, all with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
