Heikki Pyykkönen

Heikki Pyykkönen has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies in the information technology field. Heikki started their most recent role as the Data and Reporting Lead in the CIO Office at Digia Plc in December 2021. Prior to that, they served as the IT and Business Development Manager at Harvia from October 2019 to December 2021, where they were responsible for IT strategy development and implementation, IT sourcing, and coordination.

Before joining Harvia, Heikki worked as an Applications Consultant at Capgemini from March 2019 to October 2019. Heikki also gained valuable experience at Valmet Technologies Inc., where they served as a Service Manager for Information Technology from March 2017 to February 2019. In this role, they managed a corporation-wide project portfolio management system and was responsible for integrations and support organizing.

Heikki has also held various managerial positions at Valmet Technologies, Inc. and Metso, Pulp, Paper & Power IT, where they oversaw system management and development.

Heikki'searlier career includes a role as a Project Manager at Metso Paper Service USA Inc. and positions as a Development Engineer and Sales Engineer at Valmet Corporation Europe, Service.

Throughout their career, Heikki has demonstrated a strong commitment to utilizing data for organizational understanding, developing IT strategies, coordinating IT support, and managing large-scale projects.

Heikki Pyykkönen holds a Master's degree in Engineering from Jyvaskyla University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained between 2005 and 2007. Heikki also earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pohjois-Savo Polytechnic from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Heikki has obtained certifications in project management (PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate) from PeopleCert in 2018 and in IT service management (ITIL V3 Foundation) from DF CERTIFIERING AB in 2011. Heikki has also achieved the Certified Snow Specialist (CSS) certification from Snow Software.
