Jaakko Pentti

Jaakko Pentti has a diverse work experience in various companies, with their most recent position being the Director of Knowledge Management at DigiFinland Oy since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Director at the same company since May 2018.

Before joining DigiFinland Oy, Jaakko held the position of Director of Quality & HSE at Valmet from October 2013 to June 2018, where they successfully implemented a strategy and action plans to improve the company's QHSE performance, resulting in cost savings and a Lean transformation program implementation.

Jaakko also served as the Director of HR Services at Metso from August 2012 to September 2013, where they managed the financial performance of the HR organization and played a key role in the demerger activities between Metso and Valmet.

From January 2009 to August 2012, Jaakko worked as a Program Manager at Metso Oyj, leading the implementation of new HR Services concept and SAP HCM globally, resulting in successful implementation within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

Prior to that, they held various managerial positions at Metso Paper Oy, where they contributed to the development and optimization of production capabilities in China manufacturing units, coordination of integration activities in a large manufacturing unit in Shanghai, and global responsibility for Metso Paper ERP, DW & CRM systems.

Jaakko also worked at Metso Paper Oy, Service Business Line as the Global Development Manager, focusing on the development of spare parts business logistics and related IT systems. Additionally, they worked at Metso Paper USA, Inc. as the Manager of Systems Development, where they led the Baan ERP development and implementation in North America, integrating acquired service units and implementing a new ERP concept to better respond to business requirements.

Jaakko Pentti attended the Tampere University of Technology from 1988 to 1994, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.
