Josephine Esisa has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as Co-Founder and Team Lead at Digimark Communications in 2017. In this role, they focused on entering niche markets, conducting market research, and creating successful marketing strategies for clients in various industries.
Josephine then co-founded Raremark Foundation in 2020, where they serve as a Co-Founder and Strategist. Using their experiences as a sickle cell warrior, they curate essential services for individuals with sickle cell disease in Uganda, working on strategy development and execution to empower those affected by the disease.
Prior to their entrepreneurial roles, Josephine worked as a Product & Communications Lead at Expats In Uganda Guide from 2016 to 2017. Josephine was responsible for revising content, improving subscription rates, and introducing new initiatives.
Josephine also gained experience as a Public Relations Intern at Bank of Uganda in 2015 and Mulago Hospital in 2014.
Josephine Esisa completed their education in a progressive manner, acquiring various degrees and certifications. Josephine started off by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University in 2015. Following that, they pursued a Diploma in Marketing Communications at Uganda Management Institute from 2016 to 2017. In 2020 to 2021, Esisa attended Unicaf University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Josephine then furthered their knowledge in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by completing a certificate program at Noble Work Foundation in 2022. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Social Intrapreneurship for Innovation in Health from Ashoka and Fostering Change in Health Services from the Global Health eLearning Center. Esisa also completed a course on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: A Beginner's Guide from Udemy in 2022.
