Joseph Polizzotto is currently an advisor at DigiPli. From January 2009 to December 2014, they served as the General Counsel of the Americas for Deutsche Bank. In this role, they were responsible for the Legal Affairs of the Bank in the Americas. Prior to their time at Deutsche Bank, Polizzotto served as the General Counsel for Lehman Brothers from August 1993 to September 2008. In this role, they had global responsibility for Legal Affairs. In addition, at various times during their tenure at Lehman Brothers, they were also responsible for Compliance, Audit, and Government Relations functions. From October 1989 to July 1993, Polizzotto served as the Head of Litigation for Shearson Lehman Brothers. Prior to their time at Shearson Lehman Brothers, Polizzotto worked as an Associate Attorney and then Of Counsel for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP from September 1980 to October 1989. In these roles, they were responsible for Litigation and Regulatory Law Functions. From July 2014 to August 2016, Polizzotto served as a Principal Consultant for an Independent Consultant. Prior to this role, Polizzotto served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Hon. Joseph F. Weis, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from September 1978 to August 1980.
Joseph Polizzotto graduated from Columbia College, Columbia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Joseph'story. Joseph then went on to attend New York University School of Law and graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
