Cristina Basescu

Cristina Basescu is a Systems and Security Researcher at Digital Asset since May 2023. Prior to this role, Cristina served as a PhD Candidate at EPFL from January 2017 to November 2022 and gained experience as a Research Assistant at ETH Zürich from January 2013 to February 2016, focusing on Network Security. Cristina's early career included an internship as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon in late 2012, and internships at IBM Research in 2010 and Inria in early 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2010-2012) and an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (2005-2009).
