Raymond Roestenburg

Raymond Roestenburg is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and systems architecture. Currently serving as the Team Lead for the Canton Network at Digital Asset since February 2022, Raymond focuses on building a public network and ecosystem leveraging the Daml smart contract language. Prior to this, a notable tenure included roles at Lightbend, Inc. as Technical Lead for the Akka Platform Team, and Principal Engineer for Cloud, where contributions were made toward the Akka Cloud Platform and Cloudflow. Additional experience includes freelance Scala development with Agile Squad and significant roles at various companies such as Commonwealth Bank, Wehkamp, and Xebia, emphasizing expertise in Scala, Akka, and big data technologies. Raymond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
