Nizam Ismail

Nizam Ismail is an accomplished legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services and FinTech sectors. Currently serving as the Founding Co-Chairman of the Regulatory Sub-Committee at the Digital Assets Association and as the Founder and CEO of Ethikom Consultancy, Nizam focuses on compliance for a diverse range of financial institutions. Previous roles include a Fellowship at SIM University, Founding Chairman of the Regulatory and Compliance Sub-Committee at the Blockchain Association Singapore, Partner and Head of Financial Services at RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, and Executive Director of Compliance at Morgan Stanley for Southeast Asia. Nizam’s earlier experience also includes senior compliance roles at Lehman Brothers and Citi, as well as significant contributions to policy reform during a tenure at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Nizam holds an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.
