Scott Nolan Smith has over a decade of experience in communications and public affairs. Scott Nolan is currently serving as the Senior Director, International Affairs (Global Communications) at Global Gateway Advisors, where they lead communications programs for international affairs, global education, and trade + investment clients. Scott Nolan manages teams and individuals and provides a global perspective to strategic advisory projects. Prior to this role, Scott was the Director, International Affairs (Global Communications) at the same company.

Scott also has experience as a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Digital Diplomacy Coalition. Scott Nolan has served as a Communications Consultant and Professional Speaker/Trainer. At Clyde Group, they launched the Global Engagement practice and oversaw the integrated Digital practice as a Vice President. Scott Nolan has also worked at Portland as an Associate Director, where they advised global clients on media and digital engagement strategy. Additionally, Scott has served as a Guest Instructor/Lecturer at George Washington University.

Earlier in their career, Scott held significant roles such as the Head of Digital at the British Embassy Washington, Social Media Manager at RT - Washington Bureau, and Consultant at World Affairs Journal. Scott Nolan was also the Frontpage Editor/Producer at Politics.com.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated expertise in leading communication programs, managing teams, developing and executing public affairs campaigns, and implementing digital strategies. Scott Nolan has worked with clients from various sectors, including tech, government, non-profit, and education. Scott has a strong background in international communications, diplomacy, and stakeholder engagement.

Scott Nolan Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hawaii Pacific University, where they attended from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed a non-degree specialty program focused on "Comparing Cultures and Societies" at Eastern Washington University in 2002. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy from Norwich University, which they pursued from 2007 to 2009.
