Chun-Ping Chao

Lead Compositor at Digital Domain Holdings Ltd

Chun-Ping Chao has an extensive work experience in the field of visual effects and digital design. Chun-Ping began their career in 2005 as a Digital Designer at Asian Impression, where they worked until 2007. Chun-Ping then joined soho VFX as a Digital Compositor in 2010 and stayed there until 2012. Chun-Ping then worked at Image Engine Design Inc. as a Compositor from 2012 to 2013, where they contributed to projects such as "Lone Survivor" and "Fast & Furious 6." In 2013, they had a brief stint at Look Effects as a Digital Compositor before moving to ScanlineVFX, where they worked as a Compositor from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Chun-Ping joined Double Negative as a Compositor for six months. In 2016, they worked at Psyop as a Digital Compositor for four months before joining Digital Domain 3.0 as a Compositor and later becoming Lead Compositor.

Chun-Ping Chao obtained a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communication & Publishing from Shih Hsin University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they attended Vancouver Film School, where they earned a Diploma in Foundation Visual Art & Design from 2007 to 2008. Chun-Ping continued their education at Vancouver Film School and received another Diploma, this time in 3D Animation and Visual Effects, completing the program in 2009.
