Michael Karbouris

Michael Karbouris is an accomplished leader in the technology and finance sectors with extensive experience in strategic roles. Currently serving as the Founder of 7th Floor, Michael advises and invests in future technology leaders. As a Board Member at Digital Finance CRC, Michael contributes to the commercialization of digital asset opportunities in collaboration with various stakeholders. Michael's former roles at Nasdaq included VP of Strategy for Regtech, overseeing M&A and investments, as well as leading business development in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, Michael served as a Board Observer at Caspian, which specializes in automating cognitive tasks in high-risk financial environments, and held the position of Managing Director at FTEN, Americas. Michael's foundational experience includes being Head of Sales at SMARTS Group International Pty Ltd, a transformative Australian regtech startup. Michael holds a Master of Philosophy in Finance from UNSW and a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science from the University of Technology Sydney.
