Akash Asthana has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Akash is currently serving as the State Head - Bihar at Digital Green, where they oversee project cycle management, program indicators and monitoring, and networking and partnership management. Prior to this, they worked as a Program Manager at Tanager from 2020 to 2021.
From 2018 to 2019, Akash worked as the Head of Office at Catholic Relief Services, where they managed program activities, strengthened relationships with local partners, and effectively utilized resources. Akash also held various positions at Catholic Relief Services, including Program Coordinator - Livelihood and DRR from 2013 to 2018, and Program Officer - Livelihood from 2005 to 2013.
Before joining Catholic Relief Services, Akash worked at Seva Mandir from 2002 to 2005. During this time, they contributed to the strengthening of village level institutions and played a role in uplifting the socio-economic status of BPL families.

From 2000 to 2002, they attended the Indian Institute of Rural Management in Jaipur, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management.
Prior to that, from 1996 to 2000, they studied at Banaras Hindu University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
Akash'ssecondary education was completed at Central Hindu School from 1990 to 1996, where they completed their 12th standard in the Science stream.
In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification as a Post Harvest Trainer of Paddy from the International Rice Research Institute in April 2014.
