Christian Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Christian is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at ARIN since January 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President, Information Security at ARIN from August 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining ARIN, Christian worked at COFENSE from 2016 to 2021. At COFENSE, they held various roles including Director/Practice Manager, Professional Services from August 2017 to July 2021, and Senior Information Security Program Manager, Federal from October 2016 to August 2017.

Christian also has a significant tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they worked from 2002 to 2016. During this time, they held several positions including Program Manager, Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency Systems Integration Lab from July 2015 to September 2016, Portfolio Manager, IATAC and SURVIAC Contracts from October 2005 to June 2015, and Senior Cyber Analyst, JTF-GNO and later U.S. CYBERCOMMAND from September 2002 to September 2005.

Additionally, Christian has worked as an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology at the University of Maryland University College in 2010. Christian started their career in the U.S. Army where they served as a Team Leader in the 3d SFG(A) and 66th MI Grp from July 1992 to September 2002.

Christian Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in an unspecified field of study from Excelsior University in the years 2000 to 2002. Later, from 2006 to 2010, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In terms of additional certifications, Christian obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2016, the CompTIA Cloud Essentials certification from CompTIA in March 2016, and the CISSP certification from (ISC)2 in March 2006. They also have certifications in Executive Data Science from The Johns Hopkins University, PSM from Scrum.org, and Systems Security Engineering Capability Maturity Model (SSE-CMM) Appraiser from Carnegie Mellon University, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
