Dr Richard Busulwa, PhD

Dr Richard Busulwa, PhD has over 15 years of experience in the business and academic sectors. From 2019 to present, they have been a Lecturer and Researcher at Swinburne University of Technology. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Sessional Lecturer at International College of Hotel Management and from 2017 to 2018, they were a Sessional Lecturer at University of South Australia. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Codium Software and from 2010 to 2018, they were the Co-Founder of Digital Keys and Novus People. From 2008 to 2014, they held various roles at SA Health, including Divisional Manager, Emergency Medicine, Southern Adelaide, Interim Finance Business Manager, Flinders Medical Centre, and Business Manager, Emergency and Perioperative Medicine, Flinders Medical Centre. From 2005 to 2008, they were the Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer at Hitech Innovations. Dr Busulwa has also authored two books: Startup Accelerators: A Field Guide (2019) and Strategy Execution and Complexity: Thriving in the Era of Disruption (2017).

Dr Richard Busulwa has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the University of South Australia in the field of Strategy Execution and Complexity (2013-2017). Dr Richard also holds a Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Adelaide (2009-2011). Furthermore, they have obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of South Australia (2008-2011) and a Bachelor of Information Systems (B.Info.Sys) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the same university (2001-2007). Dr Richard'sfield of study for the Bachelor of Commerce was Accounting.
