Merel Derlagen started their work experience in 2014 as a Weekendcoördinator Customer Service at Vacanceselect. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Recruiter and Webcare Marketing medewerker at Quality Contacts. In 2018, they held various positions including Afstudeerstagiaire Base Marketing / Big data onderzoek at Telfort Zakelijk, Web Analyst at Univé, and CX Data Analyst at Eneco. Merel then joined RetailTrends as a Data Analyst in 2020 and also worked as a Data Analyst at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken from 2020 to 2022. From 2018 to 2023, Merel worked as a CX Data Analytics consultant at Digital Power and also took on the role of Change Manager at KPN from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are a Business Analyst at citizenM hotels via Digital Power.
Merel Derlagen began their education in 2010 at Regio College Zaandam, where they pursued a degree in Toerisme, specifically in the field of Verkoper Reizen. Merel completed their studies at Regio College Zaandam in 2014.
Following this, from 2014 to 2018, Merel studied at Inholland University of Applied Sciences, majoring in Business studies with a focus on Marketing.
In addition to their degrees, Merel has obtained various certifications. In July 2018, they received the Nima B1 marketing certification from NIMA, Nederlands Instituut voor Marketing. In February 2019, they obtained the Scrum Product Owner (PSPO 1) certification from Scrum.org. More recently, in November 2022, they acquired the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Lean Six Sigma Groep.
