Shelton Daal is a senior education research associate with the Learning Sciences Research team as at Digital Promise. Shelton has a Master of Public Policy with a specialization in social/education policy and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland College Park. He comes from New America’s Center on Education and Labor, where he was a program associate supporting their youth apprenticeship initiatives and oversaw a host of network member activities and communications. Shelton also has experience as a research associate for the Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center for Education, Justice, and Ethics, where he conducted a needs assessment on the digital divide in the Prince George’s County K-12 school system. Shelton is deeply interested in equity-focused co-design and inclusive innovation.
