Madhusanka Liyanage

Madhusanka Liyanage is an accomplished Associate Professor at University College Dublin, serving as the Director of Graduate Research in the School of Computer Science since December 2018. Liyanage oversees graduate studies, coordinates doctoral student processes, and monitors student applications. Currently, as the Director of Network Softwarization and Security Labs, Liyanage leads research focused on enhancing the security of next-generation mobile networks. Liyanage holds multiple adjunct professorships and honorary positions at various universities in Sri Lanka, is a Young Academy Member at the Royal Irish Academy, and serves as a Network and Information Security Expert for the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity. With a strong educational background, including a Doctor of Science in Communications Engineering from the University of Oulu, Liyanage has also contributed to various national and international research projects and is involved in consultancy work through CySec Consulting in Sri Lanka.
