Gail Murphy

Gail Murphy currently serves as Vice-President Research and Innovation and Professor at The University of British Columbia, alongside roles such as Associate Vice President Research & International pro tem and Associate Dean (Research & Graduate Studies) in the Faculty of Science. As a co-founder of Tasktop Technologies since January 2007, Gail Murphy has focused on enhancing productivity for programmers and information workers. In addition, Gail Murphy holds board member positions with various organizations, including Science World British Columbia, Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, Digital Research Alliance of Canada, and Innovate BC. An accomplished academic, Gail Murphy holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington and has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
