Oleksandr Kryvoshapka

Oleksandr Kryvoshapka has over 10 years of work experience in the technology field. Oleksandr is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend / IoT at Digital Spine GmbH since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Körber Digital from January 2020 to November 2020 as a Backend Engineer, where they developed microservices for cloud-native distributed applications and optimized performance and scalability in IoT systems. Oleksandr also designed and maintained flexible microservice architectures and automated deployment processes.

Before joining Körber Digital, Oleksandr worked as a Junior Backend Engineer at the same company from July 2018 to December 2019. Oleksandr also gained experience as a Junior IoT Engineer in Karlsruhe Area, Germany from April 2017 to July 2018.

Oleksandr began their career as a Customer Support Agent at arvato AG in March 2016 and worked there until February 2017. Oleksandr then joined Detecon International GmbH as a Master Thesis Student from March 2015 to August 2015, where they implemented forecasting methods for telecommunication traffic demand using Python. Prior to that, they worked as an Intern at the same company from September 2014 to February 2015.

Oleksandr started their career journey as a Trainee at New Technology Deployment Unit at lifecell Ukraine in June 2012. Before that, they also had a trainee position at Centre for New Technologies at Укртелеком in June 2011.

Throughout their career, Oleksandr has gained experience in backend development, IoT engineering, customer support, and forecasting. Oleksandr has worked with technologies such as AWS Lambda, Node.js, Ansible, Terraform, and IronDB.

Oleksandr Kryvoshapka received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' in 2012. Oleksandr then pursued a Master's degree in Information and Communication Systems at Technische Universität Chemnitz, which they completed in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Oleksandr obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed the Basics of Scrum, Agile, and Project Delivery course at Udemy. The same year, they acquired certifications in DB5 SQL, DB2 XML Data, DB3 JSON Data, and DB4 Relational Algebra from Stanford University. Oleksandr also holds an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Cloud Computing, earned in 2015.

Earlier certifications include Programming for Everybody (Python) from Coursera in 2014, Creative, Serious and Playful Science of Android Apps from Coursera in 2014, Learn to Program: The Fundamentals from Coursera in 2013, Computer Networks from Coursera in 2013, An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2013, Internet History, Technology, and Security from Coursera in 2013, Digital Signal Processing from Coursera in 2013, and Image and video processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a stop at the hospital from Coursera in 2013. Furthermore, Oleksandr holds the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2017.
