Alexander Banh

Alex Banh is a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, specializing in financial distress and mergers & acquisitions. With extensive teaching experience as a head teaching assistant and review tutor for 14 Accounting and Finance courses, Alex also served as a Staff Associate in the Accounting Division at Columbia Business School, focusing on human capital disclosure and OTC markets, while assisting with research on climate finance. Previous roles include Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Converge Technology Solutions Corp., where responsibilities included managing significant credit facilities and overseeing multiple acquisitions, as well as positions at ecobee and BMO Capital Markets as a business analyst and investment banking analyst, respectively. Alex holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence from Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
