Burton T. Fried

Burton T. Fried has over 15 years of experience in the optical industry. Burton is currently the Chairman at DigitalOptometrics, and was previously the President at Optical Ventures, Inc. d/b/a Reliable Optics and Vision Lens Express, Inc.

Fried has been credited with the financial and organizational restructuring of Optical Ventures, Inc. which led to the acquisition of the business by Essilor International in 2010. Burton also consolidated surfacing equipment in two Macy's optical locations and created a separate facility in Long Island City in 2004 to expand the laboratory's production capacity. In 2007, they merged the laboratory operation with another laboratory, Elm Optical, and moved operations to Brooklyn, NY.

Burton T. Fried's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University. Burton then attended the State University of New York College of Optometry, where they earned their Doctor of Optometry.
