Zavain Dar

Zavain Dar has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and biotech industries. Zavain is the Founder of Dimension, a company they established in 2022. Additionally, they serve as a Board Director for Recursion Pharmaceuticals since September 2016 and Enveda Biosciences since June 2021.

Zavain also has a strong background in venture capital, having worked at Lux Capital since October 2014. Zavain initially joined as a Partner and later transitioned to the role of Venture Partner in March 2022. During their tenure at Lux Capital, they were involved in investments and served as an Investor for Dyno Therapeutics from April 2021 to August 2022, Thrive Earlier Detection Corp. from July 2020 to August 2022, and Primer AI from January 2015 to August 2022.

In addition to their venture capital experience, Zavain has held roles on the Board of Directors for various companies. Zavain served as a Board Director for Creyon Bio from June 2020 to August 2022, LabGenius from July 2019 to August 2022, and Stacks Open Internet Foundation from May 2020 to March 2022.

Zavain Dar began their education in 2006 at Stanford University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Symbolic Systems. Zavain completed their undergraduate studies in the field of study in 2010. In addition to their undergraduate degree, Zavain also attended Stanford University from 2010 to 2012, during which they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, they took a leave of absence from their studies in Computer Science to explore their interests in Philosophy and Logic, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in these subjects. Alongside their time at Stanford, Zavain Dar also attended the University of Oxford from 2007 to 2008, where they pursued studies in Defense Against the Dark Arts and was awarded an O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level).
