Ian Rathmell

Ian Rathmell, CFA, GAICD has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Ian began their career as an intern at UBS in 2009. In 2012, they joined Dimensional Fund Advisors and worked as an Associate in the Financial Advisor Services department until 2014. Ian progressed to the role of Senior Associate from 2015 to 2016, and then became an Operations Manager in the Financial Advisor Services department from 2017 to 2019. Ian Rathmell then transitioned to the role of Senior Manager in the Global Client Group Operations - Australia division from 2020 to 2021. Ian further advanced their career to Senior Manager and Vice President in the same division from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Ian Rathmell holds the position of Head of Client Group Operations, Australia & VP at Dimensional Fund Advisors.

Ian Rathmell, CFA, GAICD has a master's degree in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas (Austin) which they completed between 2011 and 2012. Ian also holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Louisiana State University, acquired from 2007 to 2011. Furthermore, Ian has completed the Graduate of Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2023. Additionally, they are a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, obtained from the CFA Institute. Ian completed their high school education at Mountain Brook High School from 2004 to 2007.
