Katie Gagel has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as an English Teacher at Ilsan Daejin High School. Katie then worked as a Residential Youth Worker at St. Joseph's Children's Home from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they became an ESL Instructor at Backside Learning Center for a brief period. From 2015 to 2022, Katie worked at LightUpToys, where they held various roles, including Senior Account Manager and Administrative Assistant-Project Manager. Katie also worked as an English Second Language Instructor at CafeTalk from 2017 to 2020. Currently, Katie is a Project Manager at the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) since 2022.
Katie Gagel holds a Master of Arts degree in TESOL from Murray State University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communication, also at Murray State University, from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their academic qualifications, Katie Gagel has an additional certification as a Fast Track to Digital Clinical Trials: Pharma Edition from the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), which they obtained in June 2023. Katie is also a Founding Member of Metro Louisville Women in Business for Good, certified by Grapevine in March 2023. In 2011, they briefly attended Inje University for a non-degree program but did not obtain a specific degree.
