Brien East

Brien East has held a variety of roles in the engineering field over the past decade. In 2014, they were a Researcher at Ryerson University and an Aircraft Engine Diagnostics, Prognostics and Health Monitoring (DPHM) at Pratt and Whitney Canada. In 2015, they worked as an Electrical Hardware Engineer/ Product Design Consultant at BOMBARDIER. From 2016 to 2018, they held roles as a Hardware Design Contractor at LiveGauge and LightboxVR, and as an Electrical Engineer at Scoot Networks. In 2019, they joined Blue Clover Devices - THE IoT ODM as a Senior Hardware Engineer and Director of Hardware Engineering. In 2021, they were a Director of Hardware Engineering at Focal Systems, and in 2022 they were a Director Of Hardware Engineering at DIMO. Additionally, in 2016 they were a Hardware Design and Certification Advisor at Petal, LLC.

Brien East holds a Master's degree (MASc.) in Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University, which they obtained between 2016 and 2017. Brien also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University. Additionally, they have obtained a Amateur Radio Operator Certificate, Basic with Honours from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration, and a Private Pilot License from Transport Canada - Transports Canada.
