Markus Brunner

Markus Brunner is an experienced professional in the field of civil engineering and building materials science, currently serving as Head of Group Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau) at DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. since June 2021. Prior to this role, Markus held the position of Senior Consultant at InformationsZentrum Beton GmbH from 2015 to May 2021 and served as Technical Director at edilon)(sedra from 2013 to 2015. Markus's extensive career at HeidelbergCement from January 2000 to January 2013 involved roles such as Sustainable Construction Manager, Senior Engineer in Global R&D, Project Engineer, and Trainee in Materials. Markus holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Building Materials Science from Bauhaus-University Weimar and has also been a guest scholar in Material Science at the University of Washington in 1998.
