Claus A. Nielsen

Claus A. Nielsen has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Claus A. started their career as a Strategic Project Manager at Siemens Flow Instruments, where they managed a strategic project focused on material and process technology. After that, they joined Esbjerg Forsyning A/S as a District Heating Manager, where they had business and operational responsibility for heating supply in the city of Esbjerg. Claus A. then moved on to LM Wind Power as a Senior Manager in Operations, responsible for assurance engineering, logistics, materials qualification, and more.

In 2012, Nielsen returned to Esbjerg Forsyning A/S, this time as a Director of Operations, overseeing operations across the company's drinking water, district heating, and sewage treatment areas. Claus A. also held the role of Manager for District Heating during this period. In 2015, they became the Director of Technology at DIN Forsyning A/S, where they were responsible for technology and operations across the company's multi-utility services.

Nielsen's career also includes involvement in advisory boards, such as being an Advisory Board Member for Next Step Challenge, where they supported scale-up companies in developing business plans for growth. Claus A. also held the role of Chairman for Dansk Fjernvarme's Heat Pumps Reference Group, working on integrating renewable power in heating grids using heat pump technology.

Most recently, Nielsen has been involved in board positions. Claus A. became a Non-Executive Board Member at Norlys, where they served on the Board of Representatives. Claus A. also joined GreenLab as a Board Member.

Claus A. Nielsen's education history begins in 1982 when they attended Skærbæk kommune skole and completed their 10 Klasse degree. This was their primary education and they studied at the Folkeskole level.

In 1996, Claus enrolled at Aalborg University and pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Claus A. completed their studies in 2001, after spending five years at the university specializing in this field of study.

In 2006, Claus attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they participated in the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP). Although they did not earn a specific degree from this program, it enhanced their knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship.
