Hiranya Samarasekera

Hiranya Samarasekera has extensive experience in engineering and management roles, currently serving as the Country Head and Senior Vice President of Engineering at CODICE and as the Managing Director of Greenwood Syndicate (Pvt) Ltd., overseeing the management of the Greenwood Tea Estate. In addition, Hiranya holds positions as Consulting CTO at EatMe Singapore and Managing Partner at Equator Venture Partners, focusing on angel investments in early-stage startups. Previous roles include Principal Advisor at the Sri Lankan Ministry of Technology and Chief Technology Officer at the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka. Additional leadership experience includes Vice President of Engineering at Sysco Labs Sri Lanka and Director at the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka. Hiranya also has a background in academia as a Visiting Lecturer at the Australian College of Business & Technology. Currently pursuing a PhD in Information Systems at the University of Oslo, Hiranya also holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from O.P. Jindal Global University and an MBA from Edith Cowan University.
