Lydia Brian Degeare

Lydia Brian DeGeare is a professional educator with extensive experience in teaching and education support. Currently serving as a Middle School ELA Teacher for the Diocese of Birmingham since July 2022, Lydia previously taught at Jefferson County Public Schools for four years. Prior roles include serving as a Student Teacher at Central High School Magnet Career Academy and working as a Resident Assistant at University of Louisville Campus Housing. Additional experience includes employment at First Watch Restaurants and the Jewish Community Center. Lydia holds a Master of Arts in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Morehead State University and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Louisville.
