John Preston

John Preston currently serves as Diocesan Secretary for the Diocese of Chichester, a position held since November 2023. Previously, John held the same title at the Diocese of Worcester from October 2018 to September 2023. Prior to these roles, John was the National Stewardship & Resources Officer for the Church of England from July 2005 to July 2018. John's earlier career includes serving as Group Marketing Director at South Staffordshire Group Plc from 2000 to 2003 and various marketing analysis roles at Procter and Gamble from 1989 to 2000. John Preston earned a PhD in Operational Research from Lancaster University between 1986 and 1989.
