Mike Simmonds is an experienced governance professional with a career spanning over two decades in various educational and organizational roles. Currently serving as Governance Development Officer at the Diocese of Chichester since November 2021 and as a Governance Consultant for the Diocese of Chelmsford since March 2015, Mike has also contributed as Director & Education Consultant at GO Ministries Ltd, focusing on transformative projects for schools, churches, and Christian organizations. Previous positions include Governance Lead at the Diocese of Chelmsford Vines Schools Trust, Chair of the Board of Directors at South Essex Academy Trust, and Director of Ministries at Viz A Viz Ministries. Mike held the role of Head of CARE for Education from 2003 to 2007, demonstrating a strong commitment to educational governance and leadership throughout a diverse career.
