Mike Lown has a diverse range of work experience. Mike started their career at Deloitte in 1986 as a Tax Manager and worked there until 1997. Mike then moved on to Rogers Dept Store, where they served as CFO from 1997 to 2003. In 2004, they joined DP Fox | FMG Holdings as Director of Accounting & Tax, a role they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Mike worked at The Motorcycle Company as a Corporate Controller. Currently, Mike is working at the Diocese of Grand Rapids as the Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer, a position they have held since 2017.
Mike Lown attended Coopersville H.S. from 1979 to 1982. After graduating high school, they went on to study at Aquinas College - Grand Rapids from 1982 to 1986. During their time at Aquinas College, Mike obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Business/Management.

The Diocese of Grand Rapids was established May 19, 1882 and originally consisted of much of the northern and western parts of the Lower Peninsula. Since 1971 the diocese comprises 11 counties of Western Michigan: Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, and Ottawa. The Diocese of Grand Rapids currently serves over 175,000 Catholics, 80 parishes, and 31 schools located within its 11-counties.
